Finger Lakes Gymnastics Registration Information & Policies

Three Ways to Register For Session 1: Via Our Website: Fill out the online registration form and input credit card information. Via Snail Mail: Please send the Registration Form, $30 membership fee & the Session Fee made out to “FLGA”. Via Phone: Please call us at 607-273-5187. Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Classes Start Tuesday, September 2nd.

Priority Re- Registration Deadline (Registering For Session 2-5 If You Are Currently Enrolled) – This is the deadline by which CURRENT STUDENTS must pay for the next session to hold their child’s spot in their current class. We cannot hold your child’s spot in the next session without payment. If your gymnast is changing classes, please see the office for available days/times. (Paying by the Priority Re-registration deadline does not guarantee your new class time in the event your child is changing class/day/time)

Registering For Session 2-5 If You Are Not Currently Enrolled - Please check our website or call first to see which classes have availabilities. We accept registrations for these sessions one week before the session begins.

Annual Membership Fee and Benefits: $30 per family for the school year. Members are entitled to $10 discount off a Finger Lakes Gymnastics Birthday Party and a $5 discount off Parents Night Out. Please let the office know you are a member when registering for a birthday party or parents night out. This includes $25,000 excess medical coverage, which will expire 8/31/09. All excess medical claims must be reported to the office within 48 hours of the initial injury.

Session Fee: Session Fees cover the 8-week session of gymnastics class. We accept cash, check or credit card. You can begin any time during a session and payments are only accepted for the session, not for individual classes. If the gymnast starts in the middle of the session, the fee will be prorated.

Multiple Child Discount: If you have more than one child enrolled in our programs you may deduct $10 off the session fee for each additional child.

Multiple Class Discount: We feel it is most beneficial for students to enroll in more than 1 class per week. Doing so not only gives the child more time to practice skills, but also gives them the opportunity to obtain greater strength and flexibility, which are vital in skill development. Students that enroll in more than one class may deduct $20 for the additional class.

Refund Policy: 100% money-back guarantee. If you or your child is not satisfied, we will return 100% of your money, within the first two classes of your child’s first session. After the third class (whether or not your child attends), no refunds will be given.

Make-Up Policy: Your child may make-up a missed class by contacting the office and arranging a make-up class. Make-up classes MUST be taken during the session they were missed. Make-ups cannot be carried over into the next session unless the last class of the session was missed. Please be sure to schedule make-ups in advance at the office.

Proper Attire: Girls-Leotard or Leotard and Biker Shorts. (These are available in our online pro-shop or at the gym). Boys-T-shirt and Shorts/Sweatpants. No jewelry is permitted with the exception of post earrings. Hair must be pulled tightly away from face. Bare feet are best!!

Parent Viewing: We have bleachers set up for parents to view classes. For the safety of your children and for insurance reasons, anyone (including siblings) not participating in a class MUST remain in the bleacher area (gray tile). Parents & siblings are not permitted on the blue floor or in the gymnastics area. While gymnasts are waiting for class to begin, they must remain in the gray tile area as well. Gymnastics Equipment can only be used under coaches/instructors supervision. Parents are not required to stay during class but we are not equipped to supervise children before or after class. Parents of children who are unable to safely supervise themselves are to stay ON SITE until class starts and be present when class is dismissed.

What class should I sign my child up for? Please sign your child up for the class that corresponds to his or her age as of right now. Parents often want their children in an older or more advanced class than is appropriate. It is best to keep children in a class where they can achieve success and be comfortable with the skills they are doing before moving on to the next class. It is much better to move a child up if the class is too easy than to move them down. All motor skills take time to perfect. Please have patience with the learning process. It is always best to sign up for more than one class for increased retention of skills learned.

Cancellations: Cancellations due to the weather will be on the gym answering machine at least 1 hour before classes start.
